WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Mike Michaud, Chairman of the House Veterans’ Affairs Subcommittee on Health, announced that the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has released a new resource guide titled “Federal Benefits for Veterans, Dependents & Survivors.” The guide is an up-to-date summary of all benefits, and it covers a wide array of topics from VA health care to education. The new guide can be accessed from the front page of Michaud’s website
“This is an important guide that will help provide veterans and their families with information on the resources and benefits available to them through the VA,” said Michaud. “There have been a number of important and positive changes made to VA benefits over the past few years, and I encourage Mainers to contact my office if I may ever be of assistance.”
Hard copies of the guides will be available within a few weeks. According to the VA, if Maine veterans are interested in receiving a guide, they should contact Togus VA Medical Center’s public information officer.
